Does The Humid Environment Affect The Life Of The LED Bulb?

The life of LED lamps is affected by many factors. Whether indoor LED lamps or outdoor LED lamps, the life of LED lamps is greatly affected by the use environment. Among them, the humid environment affects the life of LED lamps.

We often see that some LED lamps will produce "water mist", such as indoor LED lights, candle lights, bulb lights, etc., or outdoor LED lights, street lights, underground lights, etc. After a period of time, water droplets will appear on the inner wall of the outer cover. The phenomenon of water mist.

LED lamps are generally assembled from several different materials. For example, some LED lamps are made of metal for heat dissipation and the lampshade is made of plastic. LED lamps will generate a certain amount of heat during operation, and different materials have different thermal expansion coefficients. After long-term use, gaps will be created at the joints of different materials and air intake.

When the LED lamp is used in a relatively high humidity environment, the temperature inside and outside the lampshade is different, and the heated gas inside the lampshade will be cold at the lampshade. If the gas contains more water vapor at this time, water mist and water droplets will be generated. Phenomenon, this phenomenon will disappear after continuing to light for a period of time.

In addition, the humid environment will affect the electronic components of the LED lamp driving power supply. The electronic components are damp and the lamp life is shortened. Therefore, the humid environment is also one of the factors that affect the life of LED lamps. Except for special LED lamps, ordinary LED lamps should be avoided in humid environments.
