1. Processing ideas


The input power of the LED drive power includes alternating current and direct current, and the output power is generally a constant current that can change the voltage with the change of the forward voltage of the LED. Therefore, the electronic components required in the drive power generally include capacitors, resistors, inductors and so on. Now the industry is very clear, assuming that there is an electrolytic capacitor in the LED drive power circuit, then its life mainly depends on the electrolytic capacitor. There is an approximate calculation rule for the service life of electrolytic capacitors: that is, the service life doubles for every 10 degrees of temperature drop. For example, an electrolytic capacitor with a nominal life of 2000 hours at 105 degrees Celsius will have a lifespan of about 32,000 hours at 65 degrees Celsius. The LED street light workplace is outdoors. In today's global warming environment, the ground temperature in most parts of my country in summer has now exceeded 70 degrees Celsius. Under such conditions, the average lifespan of electrolytic capacitors is less than 15,000 hours. .


2. Analysis of the current status of LED street lamp drive power supply life



As a power supply for LED lighting fixtures, LED drive power can convert primary electrical energy from the outside into secondary electrical energy required by LEDs. It is the core component of LED lighting fixtures. Its quality has an important impact on the reliability of LED lighting fixtures. Performance is also a key factor in the service life of LED lighting fixtures.


Through the tracking detection of high-power lamps, some LED lamps have successively encountered shortcomings. Through the analysis of the shortcomings, we found that the proportion of LED driver damage is as high as 90%. Although the theoretical service life is as long as 50,000 hours (13.7 years), the life of its driving circuit is shorter, about 12,000 hours (3 years). The drive power becomes the short board that restricts the service life. In addition, due to the requirements of waterproof and dustproof conditions, the driving power supply is generally packaged inside the product, which brings inconvenience to the repair of the LED street light, and the cost of replacing the driving power supply is high. Therefore, the service life of the driving power supply, the reduction of its repair cost, and the convenience of maintenance will greatly increase the practical service life and value of LED street lamps.


In the normal service life of the LED chip light, it is only necessary to replace the module connector twice under normal circumstances, which can make the overall 50,000-hour service life of the LED street light practical. Moreover, the modular connector can be connected to the circuit board through the relevant lines. Through the waterproof, dustproof and sunscreen design, its equipment address can be selected in a larger area, and subsequent replacement can be carried out conveniently, without the need for high-altitude work, which is the same as the replacement lamp of ordinary households. convenient.


At present, the driving power and electrolytic capacitors in the lighting of high-power lamps are all welded on the circuit board, and the entire electrical part is encapsulated inside. When the electrolytic capacitor is damaged and other electrical components are intact, the entire driving power supply will be replaced, resulting in a great waste. As long as the junction temperature and heat dissipation of the LED lamp chip meet the requirements, the lifespan of the LED lamp bead is nearly 50,000 hours, but almost all driving power supplies are damaged early. At present, the warranty period of the drive power is generally three years. If it is used for 12 hours a day and 365 days a year, it will only be used for less than 14,000 hours, and the warranty period of 5 years will only need nearly 22,000 hours. This is quite different from the 50,000-hour service life of LED chip lights.


Regardless of the current intelligent control, the lifespan has been relatively extended due to the time-controlled energy saving and reduced power, but compared with LED chip lamp beads, its lifespan is still short.


In order to save resources, travel the utilization rate and overall life of the drive power supply, a modular design method can be used. The electrolytically vulnerable electrical components are regarded as an accessory separated from the circuit board, and are not directly installed on the circuit board. A shell is used to encapsulate all related vulnerable components into a modular electrical connector. The connector group is connected with each electrolytic capacitor position in the circuit board by a circuit board or a circuit. When the electrolytic capacitor reaches the service life, it is only necessary to replace the module connector, and the driving power can be used again.
