How to Change RV Interior Light Bulbs Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Turn Off The Light

The electricity to the light bulb must first be turned off, just as with all other electrical devices. The light bulb should be turned off because of its fragility. The last thing you need is an explosion brought on by touching the hot bulb with chilly fingertips.

Turn off the electricity at the fuse box if you are unsure if the fixture is really "off." Remove the power cord from the electrical socket for lighting.

Step 2: Take Away The Exterior Light
There are several external light styles for lighting fixtures. Some come in tubes, while others have a dome-like form. No of the form, wait until the base has cooled before touching it.

The outside of the lamp should then be removed using a screwdriver. Remove the screws until the light bulb is visible.

Step 3: Remove the outdated lightbulb
To gently remove the bulb from the socket, turn the bulb counterclockwise. If you need to replace a damaged rv ceiling light bulb, this step will be more difficult.

Put a cloth or blanket on the ground to collect any glass shards in the event of broken bulbs. Wear your eye protection and pairs of gloves, particularly if you want to attempt to replace the damaged ceiling light bulb. To remove the base-mounted broken bulb, counterclockwise-rotate the needle-nose pliers.

Step 4:Insert the new light bulb
Put the new light bulb in the socket after removing the old one. Place the fresh bulb in the socket and turn it in a clockwise direction. Rotate the bulb until you can no longer turn it. As a safety measure, carry out this action without putting your fingers in the socket.

Be careful not to overtighten the bulb since it might break in your hands.

Step 5:Test the new light
You're nearly done, so don't forget to properly dispose of the old bulb. To safely dispose of the old bulb, wrap it in the box from the new bulb.

Test the new light when everything has been finished. Watch it light up when you turn it on. You could try tightening the bulb a little bit more if you see any flickering. If it's still not functioning, you most likely received a faulty item.
