How to choose eye protection lamps for classrooms in accordance with national standards

Appropriate eye-protecting classroom lights have certain benefits for children’s vision, and brightness, blue light, and color temperature are indicators that can often be seen when buying classroom lights. But what do these indicators mean? How much do you want to reach the standard number? Now Let's find out together!

   1. According to the current "Hygienic Standards for Daylighting and Lighting in Primary and Secondary School Classrooms", the average illuminance value on the desk in the classroom should not be less than 300 lux. When the light intensity is high, our retina will be stimulated to secrete dopamine, which can protect the growth of myopia.

  2. The harm of blue light to human eyes is mainly manifested in the eye pathological harm and human rhythm harm that cause myopia, cataract and macular degeneration. The photoreceptor cells in the retina are sensitive to blue light. Too strong blue light or too strong ultraviolet light is not good for human eyes. The main sources of blue light that hurt the eyes are the display screens of TVs and computers. According to international standards, the blue hazard safety levels of LED light source products are RG0, RG1 and RG2 from high to low, with RG0 being the best.

  3. Color temperature. Color temperature is a temperature measurement method, usually used in the fields of physics and astronomy. This concept is based on a fictional black object that emits different colors of light when heated to different temperatures, and the objects appear in different colors. Just like when an iron block is heated, the iron block first turns red, then yellow, and finally white.

So, how do we choose eye-protection classroom lights?

   1. Look at 3C

3C certification is called "Compulsory Product Certification System". It is a product conformity assessment system implemented by the Chinese government in accordance with laws and regulations to protect consumers' personal safety and national security, strengthen product quality management. The so-called 3C certification is China's compulsory product certification system, the English name is China Compulsory Certification, and the English abbreviation is CCC.

   2. Look at the value

There are quoted standards, blue light hazard levels, and the product's color rendering index, illuminance, uniformity and other values on the product packaging. If there are, then it is more trustworthy.

  3. Looking directly at the light source

When buying a lamp, you don’t really need to care too much about the wattage, but when looking directly at the light source, see if it feels dazzling. If it is dazzling, choose carefully.

   4. Minimize blue light overflow

If the lamp beads of the eye protection lamp in the classroom are exposed, the blue light is likely to be harmful. If some optical processing is done, the blue light hazard can basically be controlled, so it is recommended that you buy the invisible lamp beads or The lamp beads are not classroom lights directly exposed to the outside.
