Since the stored energy in the battery is limited, for more energy-efficient, it requires sensors. There are mainly two kinds of sensors in the market: Dusk to dawn sensor, motion detector(motion sensor) Let’s check their difference and you could choose according to your needs.
Dusk to dawn sensor(Photocells)
Dusk to dawn LED lights turns on and off by the amount of light reaching the light’s sensor, making them suitable for outdoor areas such as yards, parking lots, roadways, parking lots, and other outdoor areas. Its feature uses a small photocell to detect the presence of available and/or existing light. If the light is detected, the motion light will not trigger, so during the day when natural light is enough, the LED lights will not work. When it dark at night, the sensor can’t detect light, it will cause the LED light to work.
Advantage: It’s automatically triggered on and off and low maintenance.
Disadvantage: In the rain season, for solar parking lot light, it’s not the best energy-saving solutions.
Motion detector(motion sensor)
Motion sensors uses one or multiple technologies to detect movement in an area. A motion sensor solar parking lot light automatically activates when a car or pedestrian is been detect in the area. If there is no activity in the area, the solar parking lot light is automatically adjusted to an optimized minimum light level. Thus could save energy for more backup days.
Intelligent solar parking lot light with motion sensor is significant energy savings, light is only provided when it needed. It’s perfect for wet areas.
