How to easily judge the quality of LED light pipe?


1. Choose from Appearances. The appearance of the LED light pipe is shiny, and the product trademark, model and specification are printed clearly and beautifully, without deformation, paint peeling, and uneven color.


2. LED light pipes usually use aluminum as a heat sink. The larger the contact area between the radiator and the air, the more conducive to heat dissipation, the whole lamp works stably, the light attenuation is small, and the service life is long. Plastic tube, poor heat dissipation, large attenuation of lamp beads, short service life, affecting the lighting effect or causing unnecessary damage.


3. If the LED light pipe is emitting light on a white wall, there should be no obvious color temperature errors, such as color spots and color rings. If this phenomenon exists, it means that the consistency of the lamp beads is poor and the quality of the light source is poor.



4. When the LED light pipe is turned on, there will be a time difference of several tenths of a second to two seconds between the boot and the light, which is a normal phenomenon. Usually, the light is driven by a constant current source with an IC integrated circuit, which is stable in current and voltage. The performance is relatively good and the work is stable.


5. When working, the lamp body of the LED light pipe should not be too high or uneven. If this phenomenon occurs, it indicates that there is a problem with the design or manufacturing process of the lamp, and the light is attenuated and easily damaged.


6. Due to the high brightness of the LED light pipe, it is difficult to judge the brightness of the lamp by direct observation of the same type of lamp of two brands under the same conditions, and it is also easy to damage the eyesight. Usually we recommend covering the light source with a piece of white paper, and then compare the light after attenuating the light through the white paper, so that it is easier to see the difference in brightness of the lamp, the higher the brightness, the better. In addition, the color temperature is preferably close to the color of sunlight.


7. If time permits, you can compare the brightness of two lamps of the same specification, then light one of them continuously for a week, then compare it to the previous lamp (if the brightness is not significantly dimmed), which means the light decays Small, good quality light source.


8. For the LED light pipe, you can remove the cover to view the multi-chip product of the lamp bead. You can see the lamp bead light source, then close your eyes and turn on the power. Then turn off the power and open your eyes, you will see the LED chip. If the afterglow disappears, the time error is too large, which means that the quality of the lamp bead chip is not uniform, or the quality of the lamp bead chip is poor. The whole lamp is extremely fragile and has a short lifespan, so don't buy it.


9. When the LED light pipe is working, there are refrigerators, air conditioners, water heaters and other high-power electrical appliances around, and its brightness and darkness should not be changed. If this phenomenon occurs, it means that the driving power of the LED lamp is neither constant current nor constant voltage, which has a certain impact on the life of the lamp.
