For the test standard of IP waterproof level, especially the test of the highest level of waterproof connector IP68, the test equipment, test conditions and test time shall be negotiated by both the supplier and the demander (the buyer and the seller), and the severity is much higher than the protection level below it. . For example, the IP68 waterproof test of Bulgin's waterproof connector is: guaranteed to work for 2 weeks at a water depth of 10 meters without water; put it in a water depth of 100 meters and destroy the test for 12 hours, and still maintain the good performance of the product.

The IP67 waterproof rating is only one level lower than IP68, so it is still good. The specific reference standards are as follows:

0: no protection

1: Prevent the intrusion of solids above 50mm, which is equivalent to the length of a hand;

2: Prevent 12.5mm solid intrusion; equivalent to the length of a finger;

3: Prevent 2.5mm from entering and intruding. Equivalent to a thread or tool;

4: Prevent the entry of solid objects larger than 1.0mm, which is equivalent to a wire or stripping wire;

5: Prevent full dust from entering and causing damage

6: completely prevent dust from entering


Water protection level (the second X indicates)

0: Not waterproof

1: Prevent water droplets

2: When the shell is tilted to 15 degrees, the water droplets into the shell have no effect

3: Water or rain has no effect from the 60 degree corner to the shell

4: The liquid splashed into the shell from any direction has no harmful effect

5: Rinse with water without any harm

6: Prevent strong water jets, and can be used in the environment in the cabin

7: Can be resistant to immersion in a short time
