Modern bookstore management, have you noticed the bookstore lighting design?
Nowadays, many bookstores and libraries not only sell books, but also have leisure functions such as coffee areas, exhibition areas, and life aesthetics areas. Therefore, a single lighting has been unable to meet the needs of the current bookstore. Through the application of different lighting methods, the lighting methods used in different space areas of the bookstore are also different. Even in a unified area, it will be divided into different sections due to the classification of books, such as children's books area, popular science book area, and life encyclopedia. District, etc.

We can classify it from different angles. For example, we can divide it into decorative lighting and functional lighting, and from the perspective of lighting effects, it can be divided into direct lighting, semi-direct lighting, indirect lighting and diffuse lighting. From the perspective of lighting, it can be divided into general lighting (also known as background lighting or ambient lighting), partitioned general lighting, local lighting, accent lighting, and mixed lighting. Through the lighting design of different environments, to create a lighting environment suitable for each area, each type of reader can feel different reading experience and fun.
The choice of lamps
When choosing lamps and lanterns, you should choose according to the different space characteristics and different decoration styles of the bookstore. If the space illumination is too high to produce glare, it will cause huge damage to the human eye, thus affecting the reading interest of customers. Therefore, we should try our best to "see the light but not the light" in the selection of lamps, so as to create a comfortable reading environment. In the selection of decorative lamps, the overall style and other decoration elements should be considered to unify.
choice of light
In general, the beam angle is divided into narrow beams less than 20°, medium beams greater than 20° and less than 40°, and wide beams greater than 40°. Under the premise of the same light source, the larger the beam angle, the better the scattering effect, the larger the spot and the weaker the central light intensity. The choice of the beam angle of the lamp depends on the object to be illuminated. For example, when illuminating a large area of bookshelves, wide-beam lamps should be selected to avoid obvious light spots appearing on the bookshelves and achieve a soft and uniform effect. Then there is light and there must be shadows. In lighting design, shadows should be prevented as much as possible in areas such as shopping, reading, and work.
Illumination and color temperature
No matter what kind of bookstore, illuminance is always the most important issue. In the reading area, the illuminance must meet 300~500lux in order to create a comfortable environment for readers, thereby increasing reading interest and stimulating purchase desire. In addition, the illuminance of other areas such as the rest area, coffee area, passage, etc. should also be considered.
Color temperature is inseparable from people's psychological feelings. When the color temperature is too low, it is easy for people to fall into fatigue and make people feel miserable. Therefore, the choice of color temperature has higher requirements in the application of bookstores. In some parts of the bookstore that do not need to be viewed for a long time, such as decorations, a light source with a lower color temperature can be selected, and a light source with a higher color temperature should be used in places that require long-term viewing, such as the reading area and the cashier area.
