oday we introduce how to choose professional basketball court lighting.
Basketball is one of the three major goals. Unlike Chinese football's "people are afraid of others", the Chinese men's basketball team still has certain strength. In the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the Chinese men's basketball team nearly smashed the world champion Spain under the leadership of Yao Ming, but unfortunately it fell short in the end!
In recent years, the Chinese men's basketball team has occasional ups and downs, but overall performance has been steadily improved, especially after Chairman Yao took office, the implementation of the red and blue teams, the men's basketball team quickly completed the exchange. Although the Chinese team lost in the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup, it is hoped that the men's basketball team can get out of the trough and reach a higher level.
For the development of basketball, professional skills and tactics are indispensable, and professional basketball court lighting is the "big infrastructure" of basketball.
Regarding the lighting of the basketball court,
First, the illuminance, whether the illuminance meets the standard. Simply put, it is bright enough.
Common entertainment illumination is 300LX, professional competitions must reach 750LX, and TV broadcasting starts at 1000LX. At the same time, vertical illuminance and horizontal illuminance must also be considered. Generally speaking, the vertical illuminance should be greater than 1/2 of the horizontal illuminance. When the vertical illuminance is equal to the horizontal illuminance, the sports environment is the most ideal.
Second, the uniformity, whether the illumination of the basketball court is uniform. It can’t be bright here and black over there.
The uniformity of illuminance refers to the ratio of the minimum illuminance to the average illuminance on the specified surface. The more uniform the light distribution, the better the illuminance and the more comfortable the visual experience. The closer the illuminance uniformity is to 1, the better; on the contrary, the smaller it is, the more visual fatigue.
In layman's terms, the entire basketball court should be evenly illuminated, with rain and dew, and no areas that are too bright or too dark to provide good visual conditions for basketball players, spectators, and referees. This also puts forward higher requirements on the light distribution, safety angle and stadium lighting design of the lamps. The more professional the stadium, the higher the requirements. For TV broadcasting, when the camera is shooting the panoramic view of the competition area, the illuminance cannot change greatly, otherwise the camera will be exposed.
Third, glare: whether the stadium glare is obvious. In other words, dazzling stadium lamps are not good lamps.
Due to the luminous characteristics of the point light source of LEDs, most ordinary LEDs have glare and glare. This is also an important reason why Hishine stadium light LED lamps should be designed with glare. At the same time, the lens and anti-glare cover of the lamps should also be fully considered for anti-glare.
Glare is an important factor in evaluating the lighting quality of basketball courts. The generation of glare is related to the light distribution method, installation method, installation height, quantity and installation density of lamps. When the brightness ratio is too high in the field of view, people will feel glare, which will affect people's vision. If you look at the sun on a sunny day, you will feel that you can’t open your eyes. This is the glare caused by the high brightness.
Excessive glare seriously affects the athlete's observation of the ball movement.
Good stadium lighting always considers the lighting characteristics of the stadium from the design source, and combines the installation and site characteristics to carry out the lighting design, which can ensure that the stadium meets the lighting requirements of professional venues.
In other words, stadium lighting is not as simple as choosing a light. Professional companies do professional stadium lighting.
