What are the main functions of 365nm UV LED?
365nm UV LED (365 nanometer ultraviolet light emitting diode) belongs to the **long-wave ultraviolet (UVA)** range, has unique physical and chemical effects, and is widely used in industry, scientific research, medical treatment and daily life. The following are its main functions and typical applications:

1. Core function

Fluorescence excitation

Principle: 365nm UV can stimulate the fluorescence reaction of various substances (such as anti-counterfeiting inks, minerals, biomarkers).

Application:

Anti-counterfeiting detection (banknotes, certificates, luxury labels).

Criminal investigation and evidence collection (blood stains, semen stains and other body fluids are revealed).

Mineral identification (different minerals show specific fluorescent colors under UV).

Light UV curing

Principle: Trigger the polymerization reaction of photosensitive resins (such as acrylates) and cure quickly.

Application:

3D printing, dental filling material curing.

UV ink/coating curing in the printing and coating industries.

Sterilization and disinfection (auxiliary effect)

Note: 365nm UVA has a much lower sterilization efficiency than UVC (such as 275nm), but can be used for:

Decomposition of organic matter with photocatalysts (such as TiO₂).

Aquarium algae control (inhibition of algae photosynthesis).

Insect trapping

Principle: Mosquitoes are sensitive to 365nm light and are often used in mosquito killer lamps (need to be used with power grids or sticky insect boards).

2. Industrial and scientific research applications.

Semiconductor detection

Used for wafer defect detection (fluorescent dyes mark cracks or contamination).

Leak detection

Air conditioning/automotive refrigerant system leak detection (fluorescent agent develops under UV).

Photochemical experiments

Catalyze specific chemical reactions (such as photodegradation of pollutants).

3. Safety precautions

Eye protection: Long-term exposure may damage the cornea, and UV protective glasses must be worn.

Skin safety: Although it does not cause immediate sunburn, it may accelerate skin aging, so avoid direct exposure.

Material aging: some plastics/fabrics will become brittle and fade under long-term UV exposure.

4. Common equipment types
Portable UV flashlight (5-20W): used for detection and collection identification.

Industrial curing lamp (50-1000W): integrated into the production line.

UV-A therapeutic device: medical use (such as auxiliary treatment of vitiligo).

If specific uses are required (such as power selection of curing resin), further parameter requirements can be provided!
