What are the power batteries?

The power battery is the power source that provides the power source for the tool, and mostly refers to the battery that provides power for electric cars, electric trains, electric bicycles, golf carts and other vehicles.

The power battery mainly has: high energy and high power, high energy density, high rate partial charge state (HRPSOC) cycle use, wide operating temperature range (-30 ~ 65 ℃), long service life, safety and reliability.

There are many power sources that can be used as power sources, such as lead-acid batteries, nickel-cadmium batteries, nickel-hydrogen batteries, sodium-sulfur batteries, air batteries, fuel cells, solar batteries, supercapacitors, and so on. At present, the mainstream applications are more lithium power batteries and nickel-metal hydride batteries.

Lithium power batteries have been slowly developed in recent years. Lithium batteries are a new type of green high-energy chemical power source that was launched by the United States Everbright Corporation after 2000 and successfully marketed. It is used in high-energy and high-power power supplies that require high energy. In terms of electronic equipment and electric toys, it shows very superior performance. When the discharge current is above the medium discharge current, the discharge time of the lithium battery can reach about 6 times that of the alkaline manganese battery; and compared with the nickel-hydrogen battery, its discharge voltage is stable, Storage time has significant advantages.

In general, lithium batteries have the following outstanding advantages:

1. Interchangeability with alkaline batteries, it can be interchanged with alkaline zinc-manganese batteries for any purpose;

2. It has a longer working time and a higher and flatter working voltage, especially when the discharge is above the medium current;

3. Environmental protection and green power supply, do not use any toxic substances such as mercury, chromium, lead, etc.;

4. The storage performance is good, and the storage period can be as long as 10 years.

Ni-MH rechargeable battery

Nickel-metal hydride batteries are composed of hydrogen ions and metallic nickel. They have 30% more power reserve than nickel-cadmium batteries, lighter than nickel-cadmium batteries, have a longer service life, and have no pollution to the environment. Larger capacity Ni-MH batteries have begun to be used in gasoline/electric hybrid vehicles. Ni-MH batteries can be used for rapid charging and discharging. When the car is running at high speed, the electricity generated by the generator can be stored in the on-board Ni-MH battery. When the car is running at low speed, it usually consumes a lot of gasoline than the high-speed state. Therefore, in order to save gasoline, the on-board nickel-hydrogen battery can be used to drive the electric motor to replace the internal combustion engine. This not only ensures the normal running of the car, but also saves A lot of gasoline. However, nickel-metal hydride batteries are slowly being replaced by lithium batteries due to their low voltage platform and a certain memory effect, which affects their development.
