What standards should a good classroom lighting renovation design meet?
From when we were 6 years old to when we were 20+, we spent the past 10 years on campus. Some of my friends may also go to graduate and doctoral studies. We will not study these special cases today, but only study the period from primary school to university. The school has been our second home for more than 10 years.
In the past 10 years, our eyesight will continue to be troubled by lights. It is likely that after 10 years of school life experience, we have evolved from a child to "myopia". Of course, this kind of change is something we don't want to see, but myopia does not change with our will. What we can do is to protect our eyes. What the school can do is to provide the most professional educational lighting fixtures, mainly including classroom lighting. and blackboard lighting in two parts.
For classroom lighting, we must choose the best lighting fixtures from the perspective of illuminance and uniformity. As for the requirements for blackboard lighting, we have all been students. In the past, people who were seated close to the side couldn’t see the blackboard. That was because the blackboard light was not installed properly, or even there was no blackboard light, and there were reflections, so the blackboard lighting would also affect the students’ eyesight.
A good classroom lighting renovation design should meet the following standards:
1. Artificial lighting should be installed in classrooms.
2. The average illuminance value maintained on the classroom desktop should not be lower than 300lx, and the illuminance uniformity should not be lower than 0.7.
3. The classroom blackboard should be equipped with local lighting, the average illuminance should not be less than 500lx, and the illuminance uniformity should not be less than 0.8.
4. The classroom should use a light source with a color temperature of 3300-5500K, and the color rendering index of the light source should not be less than 80.
5. The unified glare value (UGR) of the classroom should not be greater than 19.
6. Under the condition of maintaining the average illuminance value of 300lx, the current value of classroom lighting power density should not be greater than 11W/㎡, and the target value should be 9W/㎡.
7. When calculating illuminance in lighting design, its maintenance effect is taken as 0.8.
Therefore, in order to effectively avoid the impact of educational lighting on students' vision, schools should use professional eye-protecting LED educational lighting fixtures, and professional technicians should be responsible for the installation to ensure the indicators of classroom lights and blackboard lights in educational lighting. All can meet the qualified requirements, ensuring that the light environment of each classroom not only has sufficient illumination and excellent uniformity, but also minimizes glare, so that no direct light enters the eyes of students.
At the same time, the location of educational lighting in the classroom should be renovated to avoid the superposition of light in the classroom and the lack of blind spot light, so as to truly provide students with a healthy, comfortable and green educational lighting environment.
