Which LED lights are dimmable

What happens when you lower an LED bulb?
LEDs are the source of light in LED lamps. LED is an acronym for light emitting diode. A LED produces more light the more energy it receives. The opposite is also true; the less electricity used, the less light is produced.
How do I determine whether an LED light is dimmable?
Almost always, a dimmable variant of every model of LED bulb is offered. However, they aren't always conventionally adjustable. Make sure "dimmable" is mentioned in the product name or specs. By doing this, you can confirm that the LED light can be dimmed.
How do I lower my LED lights?
Dimming LED lights requires the use of a dimmer. Your present dimmer is typically used to dim incandescent and halogen lamps. There is a minimal power for each dimmer, ranging from 40 to 80W. Even if you switch out your incandescent lights for LEDs, the total connected power will be less than the dimmer's minimum power. The LED lights may therefore not dim or may only dim very poorly, resulting in flashing. Choose a trailing edge LED dimmer 0-150W if your LED bulbs do not function on your existing dimmer because +/-85% of LED bulbs function on this dimmer.
Do I need a switch to dim?
Today's technology makes it feasible to dim without a dimmer as well! The new Philips product series, the SceneSwitch, now makes this possible. Check out our site to learn more: The Philips SceneSwitch LED lamp lacks a dimmer for light switching.
