You must understand the performance parameters of eye protection lamps

When choosing an eye protection lamp, of course, it depends on whether it has an eye protection effect. Many people only know that stroboscopic and blue light will affect the eye protection effect, but in fact, color temperature, color rendering and illumination are also important for eye protection. influential.

1. Color temperature

Color temperature is a unit of measurement that indicates the color components contained in light, and the unit of measurement is "K" (Kelvin). Color temperature refers to the color of an absolute black body after it is heated from absolute zero. After the black body is heated, it will gradually change from black to red, yellow, white, and finally emit blue light.

The color temperature of the light source is divided into low color temperature (below 3300K), intermediate color temperature (3300-5300K) and high color temperature (above 5300K). The low color temperature light source is yellowish and suitable for rest; the high color temperature light source is white and exciting; the middle color temperature light source is softer and suitable for reading and studying.

Therefore, it is best for us to buy eye protection lamps with a color temperature between 4000-5000K, so that children can read and study at night with the least damage to the eyes.

2. Color rendering

Color rendering refers to the degree to which the lamp can restore the color of the object, and the color rendering index (Ra) is an important indicator to measure the color rendering. The color rendering index value ranges from 1 to 100, and the unit is Ra. The closer the color rendering index is to 100Ra, the better the restoration of the color of the object, the more realistic the color, and the better the quality of the light source.

If the color rendering is unqualified, the child will unconsciously approach the book when reading at night, which will damage the eyes and cause myopia. Therefore, it is best to choose a desk lamp with a color rendering index of 80 and above when purchasing a desk lamp. Such a desk lamp can be very good. Restore book colors and fonts without damaging children's eyesight.

3. Illumination

Illuminance should consider whether the brightness is appropriate and whether the range is uniform. Too strong light will cause the pupil to shrink and damage the eyes. At the same time, the illumination needs to be evenly distributed, otherwise the handwriting will not be easy to read, and the pupil will be adjusted unconsciously, thereby increasing the burden on the eyes. The most comfortable lighting conditions can only be created if the light is strong and evenly distributed.

my country's national standard "performance requirements for reading and writing desk lamps" stipulates two illumination levels: A-level and AA-level. A-level desk lamps require that the illumination should be higher than 150lx within 50 cm from the core area of the light, and at least 30 cm away from the core area. 250lx. The AA-level table lamp is twice that of the A-level table lamp, that is, the illumination within 50 cm from the core area of the light should be higher than 300lx, and at least 500lx at a distance of 30 cm.
