There are currently three dimming methods
The first is the common low-voltage dimming, which is dimmed by a voltage of 0-10v. The method is to centrally supply power from the main power supply and control multiple LED tubes for dimming at the same time. The advantage is that the LED tubes are simple to do , No need for power supply built-in. Generally, 12 strings of lamp beads are used, and it can be realized by providing 36v power supply. 36v power supply generally adopts switching power supply with constant voltage function.
The second is TRIAC dimming, the most common way of dimming, thyristor dimming only needs to change the power switch to a thyristor dimming switch, and the brightness can be adjusted by adjusting the knob of the dimmer , To meet the requirements of different illuminance, its brightness can be continuously adjusted from 0-100%. The advantages of this dimming method are simple and practical. Only need to replace a thyristor dimmer, the common panel type thyristor dimmer switch power is 200w, and the installation size is the same. There are also 1-2KW dimmers. It must be noted that the dimming can only be achieved by purchasing the corresponding dimming led tube. Ordinary LED tubes do not have this function. It should also be noted that the general dimmer switch has power requirements and cannot exceed its total power, otherwise it will be easily damaged.
The third type of ordinary switch dimming, it is dimming through the power switch, without adding any dimmer, as long as the power switch is repeatedly pressed, the dimming of the lighting LED tube can be achieved through the number of switches. To achieve the required brightness. This kind of dimming method is low in cost, and it can be used normally by replacing it with a corresponding dimming LED tube when it is selected, and there is no need to change the circuit and increase any cost. The dimming principle is that the brightness of the dimming led tube changes by 25% every time it is turned on or off. The brightness change sequence is 100% on-75%-50%-25%-off. Also note that you need to buy a lamp with the corresponding dimming function. This kind of lamp is called a three-stage dimming led lamp. Therefore, when purchasing an led tube, you must explain the function of the tube, otherwise you cannot use it when you buy it. This is very important.
