How to change the fluorescent lamp starter? Repair knowledge of starter

The starter malfunctions, mostly short circuit and open circuit. It can be said that this is the more important thing in the fluorescent lamp. If it is broken, it needs to be replaced, or repaired if it can be repaired, then how to replace the fluorescent lamp starter? Next, Benwei will explain it to you, and then share with you the repair knowledge of the starter, let's take a look.

How to change the fluorescent lamp starter?

1. First of all, we have to prepare the tools for replacing the starter of the fluorescent lamp holder. Generally, the tools that need to be prepared are: to cut off the wire jacket without cutting the inner metal wire, so we must choose a diagonal pliers with a gap in the cut; The vise needed to tighten the two wires is generally available at home; there is also a wire tape that needs to wrap the exposed metal wire to insulate; there is also a work glove to protect your tender hands. The upper right part of the picture is diagonal pliers, the lower part is vise and black tape.

2. Rotate the old T8 tube to remove the starter from the lamp holder, then rotate the activator and never put it back.

3. Remove the upper cover of the fluorescent lamp to expose the ballast. In fact, cut the wires connected to both ends of the ballast from the ballast and connect them together.

4. Cut off the wires at both ends, and use diagonal pliers to remove the outer cover of the wire at the end of the wire, exposing 1-2 cm of the metal wire.

5. Twist the exposed metal wire tightly with a vise, and twist it together with two wires.

6. Cover the exposed metal wire with wire tape for insulation; replace the upper cover, the activator does not need to be replaced to install the LED T8 tube.

7. After turning on the light, it illuminates; besides, there are originally 4 T8 tubes, but I won’t install the two in the middle. Although it is not used, the ballast inside is still removed. The previous four 18W fluorescent tubes plus one 23W energy-saving bulb = 95W. Now replace two 9W LED tubes + two 7W LED bulbs = 30W. Brighter and more power-saving!

Repair knowledge of starter:

In the case of inductive fluorescent tubes, the phenomenon that both ends of the starter are red or not bright, it can be concluded that the starter is malfunctioning;

Remove the starter, turn the starter counterclockwise in your hand and pull it down gently at the same time to take it out; use a small screwdriver to pry open the starter, we see that there is a tube and a polyester capacitor inside the starter, we Observe whether the inside of the tube is short-circuited. If a short circuit is found, we flick the tube with our fingers. Generally, two internal electric shocks will automatically bounce off after more than ten times. After the bounce, the starter will return to normal; reinstall the shell and insert it. Put it in the tube socket of the fluorescent lamp; it can be reused;

If we open the inside and see that the tube is disconnected by the electric shock, then it is certain that the capacitor is short-circuited. We pull off the capacitor by hand, but the tube does not move, no matter whether it is dark or not, reinstall the shell and insert it into the tube socket of the fluorescent lamp.里; can be reused;

This can basically be used for a long time, if it appears again, repeat the above steps until it can not be repaired;

Friends who want to know the principle can look at the working principle of the inductive rectifier. The starter is just a switch, and the capacitor is a high-voltage filter that eliminates the instantaneous voltage generation and prolongs the life of the starter's contacts. It’s okay if you don’t have it; the impact is not significant;

The above is the introduction of how to replace the fluorescent light starter and the repair knowledge of the starter. I believe you should have more understanding after reading it. The content is for your reference only, and I hope it can be helpful to you.
