How to choose LED panel lights


1. Overview of panel lights


LED panel light, also known as flat panel light, is a simple and atmospheric indoor lighting fixture, which not only has good lighting effect, but also brings a beautiful feeling to people. The outer frame is made of aluminum alloy and the light source is LED. The panel light has a unique design, and its light passes through the high-transmittance light guide plate to form a uniform flat luminous effect. The light is soft, comfortable and bright, which can relieve eye fatigue.


From the perspective of environmental protection green lighting design concept, the materials used in LED panel lights are environmentally friendly, with low power, and the luminous rate and light level are better than those of grille lights, which can give people a feeling of admiring lights during the day and lighting at night. It gradually replaced the fluorescent tube, the light utilization rate of the traditional fluorescent tube is about 65%, and the flat light has reached more than 90%.


Second, the components of the panel light


The main structural components of the panel light:


Frame: mainly plays the role of heat dissipation, generally using aluminum profiles


Light guide plate: make the light more evenly distributed


Diffuser: Blocks sundries to make the light more even


Bottom plate: auxiliary heat dissipation, blocking foreign objects


Power supply: drive the lighting of panel lights


Reflective film: make the light of the light guide plate emitted from the front


PCBA: LED light board, the light source of lamps


3. Identification method:


1. Looking at the overall power factor, the power is low, indicating that the power supply used and the circuit design are not good, which may greatly reduce the service life. Generally, the power factor of the flat panel lamp should reach 0.85 or more, and those below 0.5 can only be said to be defective products. Therefore, LED panel lights need to be equipped with high-quality, high-efficiency driving power.


2. Looking at the heat dissipation material, the heat dissipation material of LED lamps is very important. If the lamp beads of the same quality, if the heat dissipation conditions are not good, the lamp beads will work at high temperature, and the light decay will be very large. At present, the main heat dissipation materials used are copper, aluminum, and PC. Among them, the best heat dissipation effect is copper, then aluminum, and the PC effect is poor. But at present, more aluminum is used.


3. Look at the quality of the lamp beads. The quality of the lamp beads determines the chip quality and packaging technology. The chip brands are generally dominated by European, American and Japanese representative manufacturers. The quality of the chip determines the brightness and light decay of the lamp bead. A good lamp bead has high luminous flux and small light decay.


4. Look at the certification and choose LED lamps according to the national LED safety standards.


5. To see if the workmanship is fine, a good quality panel light in addition to the above main aspects, the perfect product workmanship is also an external performance


In short, a good panel light uses high-quality driving power, good heat dissipation accessories, high-quality chips, symbol safety standards, etc. If you only emphasize one of these points, it cannot be called a qualified product.
