The Difference Between LED Bulbs And Ordinary Bulbs

1. There are differences in the way light emits.

Normal lamp bulbs emit light through thermal radiation after being heated by an electric current. Lighting is accomplished by first converting electric energy into heat energy, which is then transformed into light energy.

 

LED lights are light-emitting diodes that directly transform electrical energy into light energy using solid-state semiconductor components, minimising heat energy loss. The energy consumption of LED lights is only 25% that of energy-saving lamps, and they have a greater rate of light energy conversion.

 

2. Employ impact

Compared to energy-saving lamps, LED bulbs are more energy-efficient and require minimal voltage and current. They may be utilised in many environments and are secure to use because they are low power and cold light sources.

 

Second, compared to regular bulbs, an LED lamp with the same wattage will be substantially brighter. 1W LED equals 3W energy-efficient lamp = 15W incandescent light.

 

3. There is a change in temperature

Ordinary light bulbs operate at temperatures between 80 and 120 degrees Celsius, while LED light bulbs have a heat dissipation structure that has been well built, resulting in temperatures between 40 and 60 degrees Celsius.

 

4. Different types of environmental protection

Ordinary light bulbs are packed with inert gas, and when they operate, they emit a lot of infrared and ultraviolet radiation. During manufacture, usage, and disposal, mercury and other dangerous gases and compounds are polluted. When in use, LED bulbs emit no radiation. There is no filling petrol, and there won't be any negative environmental repercussions.

 

5. Various service lives

Ordinary lightbulbs have a service life of 1000 hours (calculated for 4 hours per day), while LED bulbs have a service life of 50,000 hours (calculated for 24 hours per day).
