High-intensity gas discharge lamps can be divided into high-pressure mercury lamps, high-pressure sodium lamps, and metal halide lamps.

 

 

6) Electrodeless discharge lamp

The electrodeless discharge lamp is an induction lamp, and the energy it needs is coupled into the lamp through a high-frequency magnetic field. Electrodeless discharge lamps can be regarded as another form of compact fluorescent lamps. The shape of the electrodeless discharge lamp is not limited to a long tube shape, it can emit light instantaneously, the working frequency is several MHz, and a special electronic circuit device for driving and controlling the ignition of the electrodeless discharge lamp is required.
