SMD lamp beads (SMD):
SMD lamp beads (SMD) are used as the light source of the downlight. Because the number of LEDs is large, the entire light source cavity can be covered as much as possible, so that the heat converted by the LEDs can be distributed more widely, which is convenient for heat dissipation, and also avoids the need for Local temperature overheating. Because the LED distribution is relatively scattered, the distance from the light source to the light-emitting surface can be designed to be relatively small, and the effect of uniform light spot can be achieved, so the downlight using SMD lamp beads (SMD) can design the height of the downlight relatively low.
Integrated Light Source (COB):
The integrated light source (COB) is used as the downlight light source because the integrated light source already has its own circuit board, which only needs to be fixed when in use, so compared with the SMD lamp beads (SMD), it saves the cost of the aluminum substrate and the cost of the SMD. cost. Because the power of the integrated light source (COB) is relatively large, the heat source is relatively concentrated when the LED is working, so the requirements for heat dissipation design are higher; the second is that the light-emitting surface of the integrated light source is relatively small, in order to avoid the light-emitting surface of the downlight. The light spot usually requires a relatively large distance from the integrated light source to the light-emitting surface, which requires the height of the reflector to be relatively high, so the height of the downlight using the integrated light source will be relatively high, and the volume of the entire lamp will naturally be relatively large. In order to reduce the height of the entire downlight, the reflector with high reflectivity can be used to reduce the height of the reflector.
